Not only did Michael Mode’s turned wood vessels catch my attention, they caught the attention of the Detroit Institute of Art, the Minneapolis Institute of Art, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and numerous other institutions that have collected his work.
Mode continues to make work in his studio in New Haven, Vermont. In addition to the numerous institutional collections, Mode’s work continues to enter private collections throughout the world. This is yet another opportunity to own an important work of contemporary design at a very accessible price point.
